Half-day Around the Island

Take a guided tour around the island. Our first stop is Margarita’s capital, La Asunción. Its cathedral is one of the oldest churches in South America, and its castle, Santa Rosa, offers a great panoramic view. We continue to the town of El Valle, nestled in the

mountains. This is the birthplace of Santiago Mariño, a hero of the Venezuelan independence. We will visit his beautifully restored colonial home, and the nearby pink and white neo-Gothic chapel, home to the shrine of the Virgin of the Fishermen. We continue to the picturesque bay of Juan Griego, where we can enjoy a beautiful view from its fort, Fortín de la Galera

Half-day historical Margarita

How about a guided tour through Margarita´s history. Our first stop is Margarita’s capital, La Asunción. Its cathedral is one of the oldest churches in South America, and its castle, Santa Rosa, offers a great panoramic view. We continue to the picturesque fishing

village of Pampatar, where the castle San Carlos de Borromeo is located and important defense against pirates who were after Margarita’s pearls. Close to the castle we find the church “Iglesia del Santísimo Cristo de Buen Viaje”. We continue to the colonial town of Santa Ana. Simón Bolivar signed the end of the war on May 6th 1816 in its plain, white church.

Half-day horseback riding on Macanao Peninsula

Travel from Hotel on scenic route to Ranch Cabatucanride. Starting at Ranch Cabatucanride for two hours through dramatic mountain scenery and along virgin beaches. Wonderful views and nature.

Full-day Jeep Safari

Join our Jeep as we go up the winding streets to La Sierra, the highest elevation of Margarita, from where we have spectacular views. On the way down we pass through the picturesque village of El Valle, and continue to the desertic peninsula of Macanao.

First stop is Laguna La Restinga, where boats will take us through the labyrinth of mangroves of this beautiful national park. After a typical Venezuelan lunch we continue to one of the virgin beaches of Macanao for a relaxing hour of swimming and sunbathing. Some off-roading, and we head back to Margarita in time for a breathtaking sunset.

Full-day cruise to Coche Island, incl. lunch and open bar

From the port, we take you for a fun cruise to the island of Coche. After approximately 1:30 hours we arrive at a beautiful unspoilt beach for some relaxing in the sun (sun chairs and umbrellas provided), and a variety of activities including snorkeling (equipment provided), beach tennis, and banana rides (optional). Lunch and open bar. Party time on the cruise back to Margarita. A great sun and fun day
