What to Expect

Set sail from St. Maarten on Monday for the french island of Guadeloupe, best known for the Guadeloupe National Park on Basse-Terre Island, which is an intriguing draw for more than 900,000 visitors per year. If you love swimming, Grande accommodation on Terre-de-Bas features a small historic church, a pretty bay and beach with huts for swimming and snorkeling. On Wednesday, Martinique awaits with great sights like Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption-et-Saint-Joseph Church, the Depaz Distillery and Mount Pelée. After an afternoon departure, take the opportunity to explore all the areas of the ship, and try breakfast or lunch al fresco, the next port of call at noon on Thursday, is the delightful, Margarita Island, Venezuela. On Friday enjoy a full day at sea aboard this great ship before arrival in historic Santo Domingo. The Dominican Republic is an architecture enthusiasts dream. Starting in Santo Domingo one can experience, the streets, ruins, monuments, museums and historical buildings in the Colonial Zone.

A visit to La Romana is incomplete if you have not visited Casa de Campo. If walking with a guide, be sure to take a Cigar Factory Tour. When you are done, walk to the market for a trip down memory lane…..this is what our markets used to be. We think this is a good way to celebrate Guyana’s 45th Anniversary as a Republic with family and friends.

While onboard you can visit the Spa, dance the night away in the club, go bar hopping (remember, the alcohol is free), or curl up with a good book from the library. Enjoy the open deck, swimming pools, grand dining and more choices of enjoyment than are available in most small cities. We encourage you to sample the Spanish and French islands in the Caribbean by unpacking once, a go from country to country on this well-appointed ship without spending a huge amount of time or money. Of course, we will have our own private event onboard to celebrate Guyana’s 45th Anniversary as a Republic.

On your return to St. Maarten, can chose to pre-book overnight accommodation so that you will have the opportunity to roam on your own or relax at the hotel, in preparation for your return trip on Tuesday.
